Creating rate derivations

In order to derive a rate plan from a parent rate plan, we need to create a rule in RT 3.0

To proceed, please navigate to the "Rate" section within the "Product" tab and Edit the rate plan to define the rule.

To generate the derivation rule, please select "Calculated from parent Rate Plan".

Select the parent rate plan that will serve as the source of pricing for the derived rate plans. Specify the percentage that the product will utilize to calculate the prices of the child rate plans.

The previously outlined steps were intended to establish the derivation logic only. In order to calculate the child rates from the parent rate, it is necessary to utilize the 'Recalculate' button located within the calendar section as highlighted in screenshot below.
