Minimum rate for all Rooms

Here's a step-by-step guide on how to efficiently use this feature and keep those wrong or low rates away from your distribution channels:

  1. Access the RT 3.0 system and click on the "Settings" option in the top right-hand side dropdown menu.
  2. Select "Products" from the menu that appears.
  3. Navigate to the "Smart Fill" tab, where you'll find the option to set a minimum rate for each of your rooms.
  4. Input the desired minimum rate for each room, ensuring it acts as a threshold value.
  5. Once you've set the minimum rates, click on "Save" to confirm the changes.

Now, let's talk about what happens when prices fall below the defined minimum rate threshold:

  • During updates, if any prices go below the minimum rate, they will be ignored and not transmitted to the distribution channels. Rest assured, we store this information in our database, so you won't lose any records of the prices sent for updates.
  • It doesn't matter if the updates are made manually or through a PMS (Property Management System). The system will validate the prices against the minimum rate set.
  • Let's say you've set the minimum rate for the "Standard Double Room" as 150.00 EUR. If you attempt to update it with 149.00 EUR, that particular update will be ignored and won't process further.
  • The minimum rate check takes place initially, before considering business rules like channel weights, taxes, commissions, etc.

Keep in mind that our product doesn't have control over cases where margin additions or promotional discounts set at channel extranets violate the minimum value threshold. Such calculations are performed directly at the channel's end.

Now you're equipped to set up Min Rate in RT 3.0 and ensure your distribution channels stay free from unwanted low rates.

You will also get Notifications under Actions in the property's main dashboard if any Min rate violation occurs. To know more, please click on Min Rate Violations
