How Resync works ?

Introduction: The Resync button is a powerful feature designed to update and synchronize data across various online channels. This user manual provides instructions on how to effectively utilize the Resync button for optimal data management.

  1. Purpose: The Resync button serves multiple purposes, including:
    • Updating room and rate plans mapped to a new OTA room rate.
    • Pushing rates and inventory to a newly added and mapped channel.
    • Rectifying connection errors or timeouts.
    • Updating changes in channel weights, tax and commission, or pax setup.

  1. Utilization Scenarios: The Resync button can be utilized in the following scenarios:
    • Room and Rate Plan Mapping: When your room and rate plans are already available in RT 3.0 but are now mapped to a new OTA room rate, use the Resync button to push rates and inventory to the new OTA room rate.
    • Addition of a New Channel: If a new channel has been added and mapped to the existing hotel room and rate plans, the Resync button can be used to push data to the new channel after completing the necessary setup, such as mappings.
    • Connection Errors or Timeouts: In case of connection errors or timeouts during data transmission, the Resync feature can be used to update data and ensure synchronization across channels.
    • Changes in Configuration: If you have made changes to channel weights, tax and commission, or pax setup, use the Resync button to calculate and update the new data to the respective channel.
  1. Resync Options: You have two options when performing a resync:
    • Resync All: Selecting this option will trigger a resync for all rooms, rate plans, and channels, applying the changes uniformly.
    • Product Level Resync: To minimize traffic and data load, you can choose to sync data only for specific products or channels where changes have been made and a resync is required. This option, known as Product Level Resync, allows targeted synchronization.
  1. Instructions for Use:
    • Login to RT 3.0 and click on the widget "Manage Calendar".
