Expedia Reservation Updates and reporting

The Expedia reservations API allows users to manage and update reservation in various scenarios. Users can cancel reservation before or after arrival dates, make refunds for good will, also change

stay dates.

You can see some buttons under Expedia bookings to perform this tasks.

  1. Cancel reservation
  2. Cancel after check-in
  3. Refund
  4. Change Reservation

Cancel reservation

When you click on the button "Cancel reservation", it will ask you reason of cancellations which are GUEST REQUESTED CANCEL or INVALID PAYMENT METHOD.

You need to select one of the option and click on Submit.

Clicking on Submit will send the request to Expedia for cancellation.

Cancel after check-in

When you click on "Cancel after check-in, it shall ask you to select a reason for cancelling the booking.

You need to select one option from the dropdown.

Selecting an option will display the penalty field to input the penalty amount you would like to charge the guest. If you don't want to charge any amount, you can make the penalty amount as zero.

Click on Submit to push the request to Expedia.


Refund

On clicking Refund button , you will have to select the reason of refund and the amount you would like to refund. Here, refund amount is a mandatory field.

Submitting the data will send the details to Expedia.


Change Reservation

On clicking "Change Reservation" will display further options like Check-IN , Check-Out, New Price and Reason of change.

You will need to input the desired changes and clicking on Submit shall push the details to Expedia.
